Petit & Dommershausen, SC, and Winnebago County Foster Closet
Brittany is an Attorney at Petit & Dommershausen. She has worked there for nearly four years and practices family law primarily but also criminal defense, cases involving juveniles, appeals, and working as a guardian ad litem. She has been named Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2019 and 2020. Brittany is also a foster parent and co-founded the Winnebago County Foster Closet with her best friend. She wants the closet to support foster parents throughout their journey. Brittany is married to Sam. They currently have two children in their home who make their lives complete. Brittany is proud to be included in Shall We Dance because the Center supports our community and she’s excited to raise awareness (and funds) for the organization.
Chuck Spencer, Valley Social
Chuck Spencer, co-owner of Valley Social, says his favorite dance is “the one that’s playing.” His energy and enthusiasm is what led him to become a teacher in 2003. Chuck graduated from Valley Social Ballroom Dance Teacher’s College and continues to train and polish his skills. Chuck’s talent as a dancer and teacher gives him a unique way to help the community. He has taken the stage as a professional dancer every year at Shall We Dance – since the very first year. Chuck also teaches charity lessons and performs for local businesses and non-profit organizations. He works closely with the Shooting Star Ballroom Dance Program – a program for area 5th and 6th graders, teaching social skills through ballroom dance. Chuck calls the Sexual Assault Crisis Center an “important and necessary” part of our community; he says: “I feel honored to be part of this event. I feel good knowing that all the hard work goes toward improving the Valley.”
