Marita Hebert
Community First Credit Union
Marita has been with Community First Credit Union for over 13 years and is currently a Team Lead in their Member Contact Center. She enjoys assisting Members, coaching her team, and volunteering. She lives in Neenah and loves dancing, singing, and spending time with family and friends. She discovered her love for dance after the passing of her husband. It got her mind off her grief and gave her something to smile about. For that, she will be forever grateful to Fred Astaire studios. Helping victims of sexual assault is a cause near and dear to her heart. This opportunity combines her love for dance with her desire to give back. She is honored to be chosen and thrilled to be part of such a worthy cause.
Nicholas Plante, Fred Astaire Appleton
Nicholas and his wife, Melinda, are the proud owners of the Fred Astaire Dance Studios of Appleton. Nicholas has been in the ballroom dance industry since 1997. He and Melinda competed in the American Smooth, American Rhythm and the Open Cabaret Divisions until Nicholas retired from professional dancing in 2006. Besides running studios, Nicholas has spent his time producing ballroom dance shows and competitions across the country. He is currently the National Show Producer for Fred Astaire Dance Studios, and his production company currently presents the most prestigious competition in the nation…The United States Dancesport Championships, held in Orlando, Florida. Both Nicholas and Melinda are grateful to be a part of Shall We Dance. Dancing has given them so much; they are eager to let their dancing help to give something back. They would like to extend their overwhelming respect and support to all of the amateur dancers participating in this year’s event. Without you, there would be no show. You are truly the stars of this event!
