Brown Family Dentistry
Dawn Brown is a dentist at Brown Family Dentistry in Neenah. She served in the Air Force as a dentist prior to moving to Wisconsin. Dr. Brown is on the board of Hinche, Haiti Dental Outreach, and she has made five dental mission trips to Haiti. She loves treating children and working with Marquette dental students as a volunteer on the Tri-County Community Dental Clinic’s mobile unit. As a member of the Neenah-Menasha Emergency Society, she has been the co-director of their largest fundraiser event for the last five years. Dawn and her husband, Tip, have two loving children who have kept them involved in tennis and soccer. She is truly honored to be a part of Shall We Dance to raise awareness and the funds needed to put an end to sexual violence in our community.
Chuck Spencer, Valley Social
Chuck Spencer, co-owner of Valley Social, says his favorite dance is “the one that’s playing.” His energy and enthusiasm is what led him to become a teacher in 2003. Chuck graduated from Valley Social Ballroom Dance Teacher’s College and continues to train and polish his skills. Chuck’s talent as a dancer and teacher gives him a unique way to help the community. He has taken the stage as a professional dancer every year at Shall We Dance – since the very first year. Chuck also teaches charity lessons and performs for local businesses and non-profit organizations. He works closely with the Shooting Star Ballroom Dance Program – a program for area 5th and 6th graders, teaching social skills through ballroom dance. Chuck calls the Sexual Assault Crisis Center an “important and necessary” part of our community; he says: “I feel honored to be part of this event. I feel good knowing that all the hard work goes toward improving the Valley.”
