Beckie Overholt

Thrivent Financial

Beckie has worked at Thrivent for more than 16 years. Her current role is a Scrum Master (project manager) for a key growth strategy. As a mother of four, Beckie has served in many roles throughout the community, with a primary focus on youth mentorship. Through mission trips, soccer, volleyball coaching, musical theater voice coaching – and leading and participating in both local and international Habitat for Humanity builds, she has learned as much as she’s taught. Beckie is honored to participate in Shall We Dance to help bring awareness and advocacy for the Sexual Assault Crisis Center so that they, in turn, can provide the much-needed support in the Fox Cities and surrounding area.

Chuck Spencer, Valley Social

Chuck Spencer, co-owner of Valley Social, says his favorite dance is “the one that’s playing.” His energy and enthusiasm is what led him to become a teacher in 2003. Chuck graduated from Valley Social Ballroom Dance Teacher’s College and continues to train and polish his skills. Chuck’s talent as a dancer and teacher gives him a unique way to help the community. He has taken the stage as a professional dancer every year at Shall We Dance – since the very first year. Chuck also teaches charity lessons and performs for local businesses and non-profit organizations. He works closely with the Shooting Star Ballroom Dance Program – a program for area 5th and 6th graders, teaching social skills though ballroom dance. Chuck calls the Sexual Assault Crisis Center an “important and necessary” part of our community; he says: “I feel honored to be part of this event. I feel good knowing that all the hard work goes toward improving the Valley.”
